Haidong Gumdo
What is Haidong Gumdo?
Haidong Gum Do means the Way of the Sword in the East Sea. It is also translated as "The Light of the Sword as the Energy Rising Up in the Morning in the Eastern Sea". This is referring to the reflection of the morning light on the upraised sword blade. History of the Haidong Gum Do states that without having a bloody fight, ancient warriors would cut the branch of a wild rose and enclose it in a letter so that they could judge each other's skill & swordsmanship.

Haidong Gum Do is only offered in-house to our students.
The discipline of learning a traditional martial art is necessary to learn the sword.
There is an additional tuition fee for sword classes. Classes are scheduled Tues/Thurs from 8-9 p.m.
